Finishing The Journey

I have been working on some final projects at FIU. One final project reminded me of several things. We had to complete a visual storyboard about a couple with a flat tire and no cell phones. This reminded me of when I learned to change a tire. Before I could get my driver’s license, my father taught me how to change a tire. As soon as I could afford to, I joined AAA for roadside assistance. For me, AAA was worth the yearly fees. I chose to get the tire changed and continue/finish the journey.

What this assignment helped me to realize is that your career is also like a car. It gets you to where you want to go. You may also need to know how to change a flat tire or have roadside assistance. This may be knowing how to advance your career or change your career. You may need to just repair a part or replace a part. You can also call outside assistance, such as a mentor, coach, or go back to school. This could be free classes online or paid classes. Roadside assistance could also be a second job if needed. Or roadside Assistance could be learning to manage money and how to invest.

I did Technical Support for large companies around the world. I had to be able to research the problem and the solution. My goal was always to get the customers back up and running as soon as possible. That is how I approached this assignment. We create our lives. We can choose our stories. We can change our stories. You may not have learned to change a tire. You may not have heard of AAA. You may not have viewed AAA as a worthy investment. You are a worthy investment. Invest in your health, your career, and your future.

Tony Robbins’ advice is to read, exercise, goals & help others.  Read stories with the results you want to create in your life.

I realized that although I am currently single and I am moving to where I can be more successful, that I don’t need to stay single to be successful. What does matter is that I am with people who think/believe the same way. First I have to have healthy beliefs.

Success stories may cause some conflicts. You may have some conflicting beliefs you didn’t realize you had. For example, could 2 people be successful in business and be married? Or should one be at home while the other works? Or should one have a lower paying job?

Women may have to choose between being home with children or working. This takes some planning. If you take time off, you may need some roadside assistance to get back into work. There are also financial considerations and savings.

More thoughts:

Although you finish your journey, you may have more journeys in your future.

Thinking more about Visual Storyboard, There is another storyboard that has been going on for a long time. It began with the beginning of the universe.

I think it is important to know the history of the Universe and Humans.

I believe God has been with us from the beginning. This is not limited to white men only.

God has been with men and women around the world. Your belief in God is your choice.

Even if you chose not to believe, or to limit God in your beliefs, God still exists.

Both sides exist. You can change beliefs. You can go to heaven/eternity.
